安第斯山猫，所有也是猫类中最美丽的之一。它的花纹类似雪豹，体型类似家猫。和其他猫科动物相比，它们更信奉机会主义，即能捉到什么就吃什么。安第斯山虎猫喜欢生长在多山、高山的环境中。其分布受很多因素限制，截止2013年，总有效群体数量少于2500只。因失去猎物、栖息地或被猎杀等因素的影响，从而导致数量有下降趋势。
