Solving the sixth quadratic equation, featuring Ray and Tails

Show that 25x² - 30x + 9 = 0 has only one solution.

First method

25x² - 30x + 9 = 0

(5x - 3)² = 0

x = 3 / 5

 

Second method

25x² - 30x + 9 = 0

a = 25, b = -30 and c = 9

b² = 900

4ac = 900

b² = 4ac

-b / (2a) = 3 / 5
