I was feeling overwhelmed coloring two ambitious pieces, so I decided to start this one.
...aaaand ended up spending 20 hours on it :\.
Seriously, I thought I was going to relax, and mess around with symmetry, and then this beautiful creature emerged. They started as a heron-like character, but I changed direction because 1) I was uncomfortable with giving herons feather hands as is traditional for such anthro characters, and 2) giving them a beak just looked...silly.
So, I turned him into...something.
How about I call his race the Aukulem, because I can? I wonder if anybody will see what did there.
I haven't yet created a backstory for them, or their race.
Anyway, I then kind of just kept going with this, and before I knew it, I had a background, and everything. There was a period, where I was griping about the background, but then I found myself adding increasing amounts of detail. But I stoppped myself.
And of course, since this creature as a race, they need a name. So, off the top of my head, I will choose Ezileke, pronounced (eI-z-ee-l-uh-k-eI), because why not?
So, here they are, Ezileke the Aukulem, who likes standing on top of summits and smiling at you warmly I guess...
